A private deed binds those who signed it, but its date can be disputed by anyone else. Certification by a lawyer solves exactly that: it confirms the identity of the parties and the content of the document, and gives it a certain date.

It is a short service with a large effect, because it removes the very argument that most often surfaces later: "was this signed then, or now?"

Situations in which we are called

  • You are signing a private agreement and want a certain date
  • A loan between individuals has to be recorded so that it can be proved
  • A transfer of company shares or a shareholders’ agreement is being concluded
  • A document has to be used abroad and needs an apostille
  • A movable security has to be registered in the Romanian register of movable publicity
  • You need copies certified as true to the original

What we cover

  • Certification of private deeds, with identification of the parties and a certain date
  • Drafting the certified document, where the content is needed and not only the form
  • Certification of copies as true to the original
  • Assistance with obtaining an apostille and with the route documents take abroad
  • Registration of movable securities in the National Register of Movable Publicity
  • Amendment, assignment and discharge of existing entries in the register

How we work

Certification requires the parties to attend in person with their identity documents. Send us the draft in advance so we can read it before the meeting: if something needs correcting, it is better to learn that beforehand than while everyone is waiting.

If the document is to have effect abroad, we discuss the full route from the outset — certification, apostille, translation — because the order of the steps matters and redoing it costs time.

What helps us start

  • The draft document, sent before the meeting
  • Identity documents for every signatory
  • Company documents, if a representative is signing
  • The country where the document will be used, if an apostille is needed
